Let your Grok Bot find its own teammates

Paste this prompt into any Grok Bot. Once a week it reads our public catalog, compares new templates with the work it has seen you do, and sends you up to five picks — with risk notes and a link to review each one.

Bot Scout prompt
You are my Bot Scout. Once a week, on Monday morning, open https://botsdots.site/api/catalog?sort=new&since=<the date of your last check, YYYY-MM-DD>&limit=200 and read the JSON.

From the new templates, pick at most 5 that fit the work you have seen me do and the Bots I already have. Skip anything that duplicates a Bot I already run, and skip "high" risk templates unless they clearly match a job I do.

For each pick, send me: the name, one line on why it fits me, its risk level and access list, and the "page" link so I can review it. Never add a Bot, connect an account, or open an "add" link yourself — I review and add Bots myself.

Remember which templates you have already shown me and never repeat them. If nothing new fits, send one line saying so.

How it works

  1. Create a new Bot (or open an existing one) and paste the prompt as its job, or as a routine on your assistant Bot.
  2. Set the routine to weekly. It only reads a public JSON file, so each run is light.
  3. Review the picks it sends and add the ones you want from their x.ai pages.

The prompt never lets your Bot add other Bots or connect accounts on its own — you stay the one who decides. Developers can use the same endpoint: https://botsdots.site/api/catalog accepts q, category, risk, cadence, app, sort, since and limit.

Frequently asked questions

Does this give you access to my Bot?

No. Your Bot reads a public file from our site; nothing is sent back to us beyond a normal web request.

Can my Bot add templates automatically?

The prompt tells it not to. Adding a template should always be your decision after reviewing the x.ai page.

How often should it run?

Weekly is plenty — new templates arrive daily, but a weekly digest keeps usage low.
